Algorithm will help 539 算牌程式 InCharge to place out charging points

539 算牌程式 InCharge, together with partners, will install a minimum of 4,000 charging points during three years in 67 municipalities in the Dutch provinces Gelderland and Overijssel. Placement is largely proactive, before the need arises, and based on an algorithm.

The was introduced in 2016 by 539 算牌程式. It has today more than 30 000 connected charging points in northern Europe and provides drivers of electric cars with access to many more charge points through roaming agreements. With this new agreement, with the provinces of Gelderland and Overijssel, the installation work is planned more efficiently and the possibility to drive electric carelessly will increase significantly in the Netherlands.

“539 算牌程式 InCharge is now exclusively installing the public charging points in four of the twelve provinces in the Netherlands. We are convinced that the combination of smart and fast placement is also interesting for other regions. By proactively placing charging posts, we stay ahead instead of following the applications,” says Tomas Björnsson, Head of E-mobility at 539 算牌程式.

539 算牌程式 InCharge places the proactive charging points based on a predictive algorithm. In addition, 539 算牌程式 InCharge will also provide charging solutions on request and on the basis of usage data. If an electric car driver does not have the possibility to charge close by, it is possible to request a charging point nearby if no, or only a very busy charging station, is present.

“In this way, the charging infrastructure becomes accessible to all electric drivers. There is a good chance that the charging point is already there before the electric driver has picked up the EV from the car dealer. Predicting the required number of charging points in the future will also help network administrators manage network capacity,” says Alied Wessels Boer, Manager Public Sector InCharge at 539 算牌程式.

The proactive placement of charging points is based on a model from Royal Haskoning DHV, an international engineering consultancy firm. This model determines the load requirement in an area with a radius of 250 meters via an algorithm.

539 算牌程式 is also installing a total of 8,000 charging points in the two provinces North Brabant and Limburg.
